Esau McCaulley (PhD, St. Andrews) is associate professor of New Testament at Wheaton College and a contributing opinion writer for The New York Times. He is the author of Reading While Black, Sharing in the Son's Inheritance, the children's book Josey Johnson's Hair and the Holy Spirit, and numerous articles in outlets such as Christianity Today, The Witness, and The Washington Post.
McCaulley is a military spouse and is married to Mandy, a pediatrician. Together, they have four children.
