David K. Naugle
David K. Naugle (1952–2021) (ThD, Dallas Theological Seminary; PhD, University of Texas at Arlington) was distinguished professor of philosophy at Dallas Baptist University, where he established, chaired, and taught in the philosophy department for nearly three decades. He is the author of Worldview: The History of a Concept, Reordered Love, Reordered Lives: Learning the Deep Meaning of Happiness, and Philosophy: A Student's Guide, a volume in the series Reclaimingthe Christian Intellectual Tradition. Naugle served as a Colson Fellow for the Wilberforce Forum, the Christian worldview think tank sponsored by Prison Fellowship near Washington, DC. He was also on the advisory boards of the International Instituteof Christian Studies and the Bryan Center for Critical Thought Practice and on the editorial board of the journal Intégrité.

InterVarsity Press (IVP-USA) is pleased to announce a new distribution agreement with the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge (SPCK). IVP-USA's stock will be available through Macmillan Distribution Limited (MDL) and SPCK will offer sales representation to key accounts and local shops in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe.

Award-winning author Ruth Haley Barton has signed a six-book contract with InterVarsity Press. Barton, president of the Transforming Center, a spiritual formation ministry to pastors and Christian leaders, will release Invitation to Transforming Community, the first of six books in the Transforming Church series, in Fall 2014.

Jer Swigart
Jer Swigart is a church planter, a social innovator, an organizer, a professor, and the cofounding director of The Global Immersion Project, a peacemaking training organization that forms, equips, and mobilizes individuals and communities to enterany kind of conflict to heal rather than to win. He was the founder and lead pastor of The Open Door Community, a courageous collective of people pursuing God’s dream for the San Francisco Bay area, and he is a contributing author to a number of books that focus on theology, leadership, justice, and reconciliation. A modern-day peacemaker, Jer has found himself contending for restoration in beautifully bizarre corners of our global village. Whether in the tribes of northern Pakistan, the slumsof India, the red-light districts of Southeast Asia, the violence of Israel and Palestine, or the racial injustice of his own neighborhood, Jer loves people in a way that disarms violence and dismantles divides. His engagement within national and international conflicts has formed him into a guide for the church as she seeks to leverage her influence as an instrument of peace in our world. A sought-after speaker, Jer frequently teaches in the areas of peacemaking and conflict transformation, faith and culture, neighbor and enemy love, spiritual formation, culture creating, and innovative leadership. He completed his undergrad at The University of Northwestern-St. Paul and has an MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary, where he received the prestigious David Allen Hubbard Award. He currently resides with his family in Bend, Oregon.

After nineteen years as director of production and fulfillment for InterVarsity Press, Anne Gerth will be retiring on December 8, 2017. Gerth's work will be picked up by Ben McCoy, IVP's current production manager and managing editor, and by Terumi Echols, who has been hired as director of finance and fulfillment operations, a combination of two roles vacated by retirement over the past fifteen months.

Heath A. Thomas
Heath A. Thomas is president and professor of Old Testament at Oklahoma Baptist University. He is an associate fellow of the Kirby Laing Centre for Public Theology in Cambridge, UK. He has written and edited numerous books, including commentariesand monographs on Habakkuk, Lamentations, as well as Holy War in the Bible (edited with Paul Copan and Jeremy Evans). He serves as editor for the Hobbs College Library Series and is an Old Testament editor for the Christian Standard Commentary series.
