He has a master of divinity in Christian community development from Northern Seminary, was an art and architecture teacher with Chicago Public Schools, and is a recording artist with the hip-hop group Out-World. He and his family live in West Englewood.

Amy Simpson is an award-winning writer and the author of numerous books, including Troubled Minds: Mental Illness and the Church's Mission and Anxious. She is a former publishing executive who has worked for Tyndale House Publishers, Group Publishing, Gospel Light, Standard Publishing, LifeWay, Focus on the Family, and Christianity Today. She is also a life and leadership coach. Amy has published articles with Christianity Today, Leadership Journal, Today’s Christian Woman, Christian Singles, Group magazine, Relevant, Her.meneutics, and others. She holds an English degree from Trinity International University and an MBA from the University of Colorado. She and her husband, Trevor, live in Illinois and have two children.

Nathan A. Finn
Nathan A. Finn (PhD, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) is dean of the School of Theology and Missions at Union University, where he also serves as professor of Christian thought and tradition. Finn is the author of History: A Student's Guide and coauthor of The Baptist Story: From English Sect to Global Movement. He serves on the editorial board for the sixteen-volume Complete Works of Andrew Fuller and edited the volume dedicated to Fuller's Strictures on Sandemanianism. He also serves on the editorial board of the Monographs in Baptist History series, and is a general editor of the forthcoming fifteen-volume series Theology for the People of God. Finn is a member of the steering committee for the Baptist Life and Thought Study Group of the Evangelical Theological Society and a member of the continuation committee for the International Conference on Baptist Studies. He also serves as a fellow for the Research Institute of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, the Andrew Fuller Center for Baptist Studies at Southern Seminary, and the L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture at Southeastern Seminary. He is also an adjunct associate professor of historical theology and Baptist studies at Southeastern Seminary. He and his wife Leah have four children.

Christopher R. Smith
The Rev. Dr. Christopher R. Smith is an author and biblical scholar who lives in East Lansing, Michigan. He served local churches for nearly twenty years in Massachusetts, Ontario and Michigan and is now a volunteer campus staff member with Graduate InterVarsity at Michigan State University. He was a consulting editor to the International Bible Society (now Biblica) for The Books of the Bible, an edition of the Scriptures that presents the biblical books according to their natural literary outlines, without chapters and verses. He was one of the translators for The Voice Bible. Smith has a B.A. in literature from Harvard, a master's degree in theological studies from Gordon-Conwell, and a Ph.D. in historical theology and Bible from Boston College. He has taught visiting, adjunct and extension courses at Williams College, Regent College and the Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University College). His articles have appeared in professional journals such as Novum Testamentum, New Testament Studies and the Journal for the Study of the Old Testament, in periodicals such as Bible Study Magazine, and on websites such as The High Calling of Our Daily Work.
