Marjean Brooks
Marjean Brooks is a writer based in Birmingham, Alabama. She is a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church, where she met and connected with reverend Glandion Carney and his wife, Marion, eventually being asked to partner with him in writing The Way of Grace, his spiritual story of walking through the devastation of Parkinson's disease. She was honored for her work on this book as Writer of the Year at the Write-to-Publish Conference in 2015. Writing poetry, stories and articles on faith have been a lifelong interest and pursuit for Brooks, who has published poems, devotionals and articles in many ministry publications including Briarwood Presbyterian Church, Trinity Counseling and Wales Goebel Ministry. She has written personal memoir pieces in a monthly column in Senior Living newspaper and she serves on the board of InSpero, an organization that seeks to inspire the creative community in Birmingham. For twenty-five years Brooks has been leading hundreds of women in in-depth Bible study (mostly through Precept Ministries) and uses her writings to supplement the courses. Her hope is to combine her teaching/writing skills and her life experiences with divorce, being a single mom while pursuing a teaching career, re-marrying and gaining three step-children and caring for elderly parents in a way that can impact a greater audience and illuminate spiritual truth.

Mae Elise Cannon
Rev. Dr. Mae Elise Cannon is the executive director of Churches for Middle East Peace and an ordained minister in the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). She formerly served as the senior director of advocacy and outreach for World Vision US on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. She is the author of Social Justice Handbook and Just Spirituality, and coeditor of Evangelical Theologies of Liberation and Justice.

Thomas C. Oden
Thomas C. Oden (1931–2016) was the general editor of the Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture and the Ancient Christian Doctrine series as well as the author of Classic Christianity, a revision of his three-volume systematic theology. His books also include The African Memory of Mark, Early Libyan Christianity, and How Africa Shaped the Christian Mind. He wasthe director of the Center for Early African Christianity at Eastern University in Pennsylvania and he also served as the Henry Anson Buttz Professor of Theology at the Graduate School and The Theological School of Drew University in Madison, New Jersey.

Célestin Musekura
Célestin Musekura (Ph.D., Dallas Theological Seminary) is president and founder of African Leadership and Reconciliation Ministries (ALARM, Inc.), a ministry with African national staff training church and community leaders across East and central Africa in leadership, conflict resolution, forgiveness and tribal reconciliation. He spent six years pastoring in Rwanda and serving in administration with the Association des Eglises Baptistes au Rwanda. He cofounded the Sudan Evangelical Alliance to help the persecuted churches in southern Sudan unite in their suffering and in outreach to their nation. He is the author of An Assessment of Contemporary Models of Forgiveness.

Juanita Campbell Rasmus
Juanita Campbell Rasmus cofounded Bread of Life Inc. with her husband, Rudy. Together they previously copastored St. John's United Methodist Church in downtown Houston. Juanita has also served as a member of the board of directors of Renovaré. She most recently teamed up with Tina Knowles Lawson and Beyoncé to help forty thousand flood victims recover in the wake of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

More than one hundred people came through the Johnsen & Taylor bookstore in Wheaton, Illinois, on January 29 to celebrate the launch of the Biblical Imagination Series from award-winning musician and author Michael Card, published by InterVarsity Press. Luke: The Gospel of Amazement and its companion CD, Luke: A World Turned Upside Down, are the first of four books and CDs in a series that invites readers and listeners alike to enter Scripture the way Card has done for years—through the imagination.
